Why CYS Colored TPU Films?

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is considered a modern material, especially when it comes to elastic and hard-wearing products for technologically sophisticated solutions.

In contrast to classic car wrap films made of PVC (vinyl), TPU Films naturally have significantly better UV stability and weather resistance. They also have superior properties in terms of elasticity and impact resistance, i.e. general resistance to mechanical stress (e.g. stone chipping). Another convincing feature is the excellent surface quality, which also has “self-healing” properties. TPU is also considered to be significantly more environmentally friendly than PVC.

CYS TPU Films, in particular, have a 3-layer core. The sensational color depth is partly due to this layer structure::

The clear top protective layer also has a self-healing coating.
The middle layer is dyed through and gives color.
The bottom layer is dyed light or dark to increase the color effect or opacity.

Almost double the expected durability compared to PVC films, significantly later onset of age-related color deviations. No significant differences between horizontal (e.g. hood, roof) and vertical application (e.g. side panels). Long-lasting homogeneous appearance.

Stone chip protection

Thanks to the impact resistance and tear resistance typical of the product, the multi-layer structure and the increased film thickness compared to PVC, CYS TPU Films are also the perfect paint protection against stone chips and scratches.

Self-healing surface

Slight scratches or slight surface damage, as can typically occur in car washes, for example, disappear when exposed to heat, e.g. sunlight.

Easy cleaning

Noticeably less dirt deposits, insect residue, etc., and easier to remove dirt.

Huge selection of colors

Over 400 colors and designs available - 74 colors at short time from central warehouse or specialist retailers.

Film on Film - no problem

Slightly reduced hydrophobic surface. Bonding film to film (e.g., overlaps) is possible.

Maintaining the value of the vehicle

The original paint is protected and preserved. CYS TPU can also be removed without leaving any residue under normal conditions.
